FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises moving of face equipment (BHA) into the underground formation and thus forming a wellbore along the actual wellbore path. The face equipment (BHA) contains a controller module, one or more sensors and a control unit, performing surveying measurements with one or more sensors at two or more measuring points along the actual wellbore path, comparing surveying measurements with data corresponding to the planned wellbore path by means of the controller module, determining with the controller module the return path based on the minimum energy consumption of the actual wellbore path and deviation of the actual wellbore path from the planned wellbore path. Determination of return path includes determining the inclination change rate between all the measurement points, the azimuth change rate between all the measurement points and the lengths between all measurement points, and thereby reducing the rounding and twisting of the actual wellbore path upon return to the planned wellbore path and transmitting the correction signal to the control unit by means of controller module in order to guide the trajectory of actual wellbore path in a way to ensure its return to the planned wellbore path.
