SUBSTANCE: method of determining the trajectory of the borehole formed by the drill string is proposed. The said method comprises receiving data characterising one or more drilling parameters between at least two points of inclination; averaging the data obtained for predetermined increment steps between the said at least two points of inclination; calculation based on at least the said averaged data of the predicted response of the drill string for each of the predetermined increment steps; determining bases on at least the said predicted response of the drill string of change in the angle of inclination and azimuth for each of the predetermined incremental steps; forming a predicted borehole trajectory based on the said change in the angle of inclination and azimuth; comparing the said predicted trajectory of the borehole with the measured trajectory of the borehole; and if the results of the said comparison are acceptable, the determining of the proposed borehole position based on the said change in the angle of inclination and azimuth for each predetermined incremental steps. Also a computer-readable carrier and a system for implementing the said method are disclosed.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the trajectory of the borehole between the points of inclination and calculation of the position of the borehole.
