SUBSTANCE: invention relates to general machine building, and more particularly to chain drives. Traction plate chain consists of continuous step shafts or hollow shafts provided with a remote sleeve, as well as identical plates. Ratio of the diameters of the shafts in the hinge zone to the standard chain pitch is determined by the equation: where d – diameter of the shaft in the hinge zone, t – standard chain pitch. Ratio of the diameters of the shafts in the hinge zone to the width of the chain plates is determined by the equation: where d – diameter of the shaft in the hinge zone, h – width of the plates.

EFFECT: better durability is achieved.
