FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: suspension made of a solution of 1-8 wt % of oxide-forming salts in ethanol and a precursor powder is applied to an electrode material substrate, the precursor powder is obtained by heat treatment of a solution of 1-8 wt % of oxide forming salts in ethanol at 550°C until powder is formed, while the precursor powder is introduced into the solution of oxide forming salts in ethanol in the ratio of 1 g of powder per 20-60 ml of alcohol solution, the suspension is heated at a rate of not more than 50°C/h in the temperature range from room temperature to the temperature of complete decomposition of the applied suspension components, the layer obtained after components decomposition is heat treated at a temperature of 1000 to 1200°C with a heating rate of 300°C/h.
EFFECT: invention makes it simple and economical to obtain thin, non-porous oxide films deposited on a porous electrode material.
