FIELD: electric elements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to applied electrochemistry, namely to a composition and a method for manufacturing a counter electrode for electrochromic apparatuses with an electrically controlled value of light transmittance. The counter electrode for electrochromic apparatuses consists of a counter substrate, a transparent electrically conductive material and an active counter electrode layer made of sol containing lithium, nickel and titanium, wherein, in order to improve the solubility of the compounds of said metals in alcoholic solutions, the sol includes 1 to 10% of complexing agents selected from: monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, ethylenediamine, triethyleneamine, diethylenediamine, cysteamine (thioethanolamine), amino mono-, di- and triacetic, aminopropionic, aminobutyric, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acids and derivatives thereof, oxalic, tartaric, citric acids, acetylacetone, acetoacetic ether and derivatives thereof, cyclohexanedione and derivatives thereof, polyethylenimine, oligo- and polyacrylates.
EFFECT: improved technology for manufacturing a counter electrode.
