SUBSTANCE: method includes the interaction of nido-7,8(7,9)-dicarbon decaborate of alkali metal or nido-7,8(7,9)-dicarbon decaborate of trialkylammonium or tetraalkylammonium ([7,8(7,9)-nido-C2B9H12]M, where M=Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, R1R2R3R4N, where R1=H, Me, Et, Pr, Bu; R2=Me, Et, Pr, Bu; R3=Me, Et, Pr, Bu; R4=Me, Et, Pr, Bu) with acetate of cobalt (II) in the environment of the organic solvent. As the solvent, an acidic solvent such as anhydrous liquid organic acids of the aliphatic series of the general formula RCOOH are used, where R=CnH2n+1, n=1-6. The process is carried out at the boiling point of the organic solvent for 4-12 hours, followed by distilling off the solvent and isolating the desired product.

EFFECT: simplification of the method, increasing its safety, increasing the yield of final products.
