Control unit for controlling electrical apparatus, comprising a control device which may be wall-mounted, an actuation plate which may be secured to said control device and comprises a cover surface which is at least partially transparent, a sensor member for detecting, when the user's finger or other body comes into contact with the touch zone, the control unit configured to control the electrical device according to a particular function following detection of said contact action, wherein the control device comprises a switching device associated with said touch zone by means of said control unit in such a way that the actuation of said switching device controls the electrical apparatus according to the same function associated with the touch zone.
