SUBSTANCE: method of producing elastomer composite grains comprises polymerizing one or more olefins in the presence of a catalyst with the formation of the elastomer polymer, obtaining a composite elastomer adhesive containing an elastomer polymer in the solvent, dispersing the nano-clay in the adhesive, treating the mixture of elastomer composite with water, steam, or their combination with obtaining solvent-depleted slurry comprising the elastomer composite grains. The solvent-depleted slurry contains less than 0.5 HSC of salt C₈-C₂₀-carboxylic acid. The elastomer composite grains are distributed in particle sizes, 74% of the particles have a size equal to 0.33 cm to 1.27 cm.

EFFECT: invention provides for the regulation of the grain size distribution in the emulsion or solution processes for the preparation of elastomer nanocomposites.
