FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical physics and can be used to determine the adhesive strength of a multi-layer ceramic thermal-barrier coating (TBC) used to protect machine components from high temperatures, primarily in aircraft engineering. Device comprises a specimen comprising a cylindrical rod and a washer with a central bore located on the rod with a sliding fit. Outer cylindrical surface of the washer is designed to apply the test coating. At the end of the rod there is a cylindrical collar, interacting with the support surface of the washer. Device comprises a base with a through hole for placing a part of the rod free from coating with a sliding fit, the base being a hollow cylindrical cup whose inner surface is made stepped. Larger internal diameter of the cup exceeds the outer diameter of the washer with multi-layer coating, the thickness of each of the steps is not less than the thickness of the layer of the corresponding coating applied to the side surface of the washer, and the width of the steps "b" is determined from the ratio: , where: h is the thickness of the sheared coating layer; E is the modulus of elasticity of the material of the sheared layer; σlp – limit of proportionality of the material of the layer.
EFFECT: technical result consists in the possibility of sequential loading of at least two layers of thermal-barrier coating.
