SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to cast iron compositions that can be used, for example, to manufacture mill rolls, pump parts and other products. Cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 2.3–3.4; silicon 0.4–1.2; manganese 2.0–3.0; chromium 16.0–24.0; boron 0.5–1.0; zirconium 0.05–0.1; aluminum 1.0–2.0; phosphorus 0.15–0.25; calcium 0.003–0.005; iron – the rest.
EFFECT: technical result is high hardenability of castings from cast iron.
