SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Pneumatic tire includes a tread comprising a central main groove and a pair of shoulder main grooves. In the tread, a pair of middle ground contact areas are formed, located between the shoulder grooves and the central groove. Each shoulder groove and central groove have a width of 7 to 9 % of the width of the treadprint. Outer middle ground contact area is divided into the first and second middle ground contact areas by a middle narrow groove. First ground contact area forms a rib. Second ground contact area comprises external middle transverse grooves connected to the central groove and the narrow groove. Each transverse groove includes a first section, a second section inclined in the opposite direction to the first section, and a connecting section between the first and second sections. Connecting sections is located on the central groove side in the axial direction from the center of the outer ground contact area.
EFFECT: improvement of the noise performance of the tire while maintaining driving performance on wet road surfaces.
