FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pneumatic tires and concerns studless tires. Pneumatic tire with the pre-set direction of rotation contains the tread, two central lengthwise main grooves, lamella provided in the central region of contact with soil, V-like grooves, each of which is made separately in tire lengthwise direction in the central region of contact with soil to form V-shaped units. Each of V-shaped blocks is furnished with first inclined auxiliary groove and the second inclined auxiliary groove. First inclined auxiliary groove runs from one edge of the central area to tire equator plane with the same direction of inclination of the first inclined section. Second inclined auxiliary groove runs from the other end of the central area to tire equator plane with the same direction of inclination of the second inclined section. First and second secondary grooves are provided separately in tire lengthwise direction. Width of the central area is from 15 % to 21 % of tread width.
EFFECT: improved characteristics on icy roads are achieved without deterioration of other characteristics of tires.
