FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: nozzle consists of rectangular plates, containing creases, forming a sequence of channels that includes ribs, each of which consists of at least one cut strip in one of the plates remaining tough connected with the disc. And at least on one side the strip is deformed with the ability to create a hole, forming nontangency on the surface of plate, in which the direction of channels of one plate forms a non-zero angle in relation to the direction of stops of the neighbouring plate. The channel ribs have a length different from the length of the adjacent channel ribs. The nozzle provides good performance and good assembly of the plates among themselves, i.e. without piling up. A contact column for liquid media is disclosed and its application for drying gas, deoxidizing natural gas, decarbonising fumes, treating industrial gas in the Claus process is disclosed.

EFFECT: uniform distribution of liquid and gaseous phases along the cross section of the column.
