SUBSTANCE: magnetic filter (10) includes a housing (12) with central longitudinal axis extending between the first and second opposite edges, the inlet (34) and outlet nozzles (36) provided at the edge of the housing and extending from the housing parallel to the central longitudinal axis of the housing, a magnet located inside the housing. The separation chamber (46) for separating solid particles from the fluid is located at the end of the housing opposite to the inlet and outlet nozzles. The chamber (46) comprises obstructing devices (60) for slowing the flow of fluid within the chamber. The obstructing devices include several curved walls forming concave collection areas for collecting particles. The housing has a removable cover at its edge located on the opposite side to the inlet and outlet nozzles for draining fluid from the housing and enabling the magnet to be withdrawn from the housing.

EFFECT: ability to install inside a limited vertical space, ease of maintenance.
