SUBSTANCE: seat for a vehicle comprises a seatback, a seat base, and a cam system. The seat base has a first hip support and a second hip support. The cam system is operatively connected to the first hip support and the second hip support, and has a torsion bar with a plurality of cams disposed along the torsion bar. Each hip support is operatively connected to a plurality of spring guides that guide the springs disposed between the cams and the hip supports. Each spring guide is located at least partially in the compression spring. The cam system is configured to move the first hip support and the second hip support from the lowered position to the raised position.

EFFECT: simplifying the manual adjustment mechanism of the hip support to increase the vehicle passenger's comfort.
