FIELD: vehicle equipment and accessories.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a vehicle seat assembly with a backrest support and, in particular, to a vehicle seat assembly with a manual backrest support for the upper part of backrest. Vehicle seat assembly comprises a lower part of the backrest. Upper part of the backrest is operably connected to the lower part of the backrest. Upper part of the backrest is mounted on the lower part of the backrest to enable rotation on a rotary axis. Manually moveable assembly operably connects the lower part of the backrest to the upper part of the backrest. Manually movable assembly comprises a body member having a cam channel and an inner wall with a plurality of engagement recesses. Positioning cam comprises a cam pin engaged with the cam channel and an outer wall with a plurality of engaged teeth in released engagement with a plurality of engagement recesses. Cam pin is configured for linear sliding in the cam channel.
EFFECT: improved comfort when using the seat.
