SUBSTANCE: device comprises a housing (2), a collection chamber (6) inside the housing (2) and a rotating element (4) attached to the housing (2) and arranged to be placed near the surface of the article of fabric when the housing (2) is held in the first orientation, to remove the pile from the surface and move it to the collection chamber (6). The cutting unit (5) is attached to the housing (2) and comprises a knife (7) for applying to the surface of the cloth article, when the housing (2) is held in a different orientation, to cut the fibers forming the pile. A method for using the device (1) is also proposed.
EFFECT: it is possible to remove dense pile without damaging the treated cloth.
