FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: installation includes a neutron source, a container with an aqueous solution of uranyl sulfate, whose mass is the amount of less-critical mass, a sorption column, a tract for irradiated aqueous uranyl sulfate solution supply to the absorption column, tract for aqueous uranyl sulfate solution return to the container after sorption and a catalytic recombination system. The container with the uranyl sulfate aqueous solution and the sorption column are designed to be docked and undocked. The tract for uranyl sulfate aqueous solution return to the container after sorption is formed by direct connection of the sorption column cavities and the container, and the tract for irradiated aqueous uranyl sulfate solution supply to the sorption column - by direct connection of the sorption column tubes and the container. At the bottom of the sorption column, there is a sorbent. At the top of the sorption column, intended for accumulation of the aqueous uranyl sulfate solution after sorption, there is the upper end of its tube.
EFFECT: reduction to a minimum of isotope production loss during passage of the irradiated uranyl sulfate solution to the sorption column, preservation of target isotope concentration in the solution fed to sorption, acceleration of the isotope production process, exclusion of radioactive substances release into the premises due to tract depressurization.
