FIELD: nuclear engineering; production of molybdenum isotopes for medical use. SUBSTANCE: uranyl sulfate circulating solution is subjected to neutron irradiation to separate molybdenum-99 radionuclides formed in the process from circulating solution containing uranyl sulfate and its decay products. Uranyl sulfate is used in volume exceeding critical value for fission chain reaction. EFFECT: provision for organizing continuous process cycle, reduced consumption of fissionable materials and amount of active wastes, improved production efficiency. 4 cl, 1 dwg
