FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: semi-finished moulded component with trough-shaped cross section is placed between straightening punch and the die for straightening, and the upper plate of the semi-finished moulded component is supported using a support element extending from the punch for straightening. At the placement stage, the upper plate is placed inside the first section of the mould cavity that form a recess, which is formed in the straightening die, the upper plate is captured by the support element. When semi-finished moulded component is positioned in the width direction using the first portion of the recess and a pair of vertical walls of the semi-finished moulded component. At the straightening stage, the punch for straightening inside the second portion of the recess that moulds the recesses is introduced, and the semi-finished moulded component is straightened by the punch for straightening and the die for straightening.

EFFECT: formation of folds is eliminated.
