FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention of claimed group relates to production of elongated article with top plate and vertical walls made by stamping of metal sheet. At that, metal sheet is arranged between male die and holder, and support element and female die. Stamping is performed in two stages. At the first stage, the state of retention of the metal sheet with the support element is provided. At second step drawing with support element is performed. In specific cross-section of direction of forming part of workpiece to be molded into first part, contact surface of holder is located towards male die in direction of mutual location of support element and male die. At that, providing an acute angle formed by the straight line connecting the center of the rounded end section of the contact surface of the support element and the center of the rounded end section of the contact surface of the holder for the workpiece, and continuation of the contact surface of the support element, which contacts with metal sheet. Folds on vertical wall and upper plate are eliminated.

EFFECT: disclosed method of making a stamped article.
