SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to metal forming, particularly, to forming a product from a steel plate for a structural element of a vehicle. Disclosed is a structural element comprising an article formed by hot forming. By means of hot forming in two steps elongated article is formed, comprising two sections of vertical wall, section of upper plate, adjacent to two sections of vertical wall, and located at an angle of more than 90° extending section including overlapping section with length exceeding 3 mm.

EFFECT: improved quality of molded article due to its higher strength.
