SUBSTANCE: claimed group of inventions relates to the field of metal forming and can be used for the manufacture of a stamped component, including an elongated upper plate, the ribs on both in the direction of the width of the edges of the upper plate and the vertical walls located opposite each other and passing from the ribs. In the method, a matrix and a punch are used to bend the workpiece to obtain a convex profile, with a bend in the direction from the punch to the matrix when the punch contacts the first region of this workpiece, in which two ribs should be created on the edges. At the same time the second region of the workpiece in which the top plate is to be created is clamped between the matrix and the punch, and this area is pushed in the direction from the matrix to the punch.

EFFECT: improved geometry of the stamping component by reducing the reverse spring back.
