SUBSTANCE: residual operating current compensation device comprises a controllable grounding transformer (1), made with the possibility of compensating the residual operating current in the ground of an alternating current network containing a power transformer (3). The primary side of the grounding transformer (1) is connected to the network or an electro feeding power source, synchronised with an electro feeding network, and the secondary side of the grounding transformer (1) connected between the zero point (N) of an electro feeding ground network (E). Grounding transformer (1) contains two or more three-phase branch switches (10a, 10b), primary side of the grounding transformer (1) is connected by a triangle, and the secondary side of the grounding transformer (1) comprises said branch switches (10a, 10b), which are configured to connect the secondary side windings (11, 12, 13) in such a way that three resulting secondary voltages occur which, in turn, can be controlled by means of the unit (2) of the device with respect to the amplitude and the phase angle (α) with respect to the system of voltages of the power transformer (3).
EFFECT: complete suppression of the residual operating current and increase of reliability of the compensation device operation.
