WATERPROOF ACOUSTIC PORT IN HEARING AID Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC H04R25/00

Abstract RU 2644619 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: acoustic port contains a sealed chamber inside the housing, inlet microtubes located in the housing wall, a hydrophobic coating covering, at least, a portion of walls of the inlet microtubule. Herewith the volume of the inlet microtubule is greater than or equal to the total volume of the tube and the chamber multiplied by the value (1 - (external pressure in the air / external pressure when immersed)). The first inlet microtubule and the second inlet microtubule have a length of about 0.9 to about 1.25 mm. The volume of the inlet tube is from 0.5 mm3 up to about 1.0 mm3. The volume of the camera is from 5 mm3 up to about 10 mm3. The device also includes a semipermeable divertor located on the surface of the housing above the inlet microtubule, excluding the line of sight to the inlet microtubule. The divertor is made with small holes on its sides.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of protecting the microphone and components of the hearing aid from water penetration.
