FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to special metallurgy, in particular to the production of electrodes from heavily doped alloys based on nickel aluminides. Method includes producing a semi-finished product by centrifugal SHS casting using a reaction mixture containing nickel oxide, aluminium oxide, alloying and functional additives, followed by two-stage remelting of the semi-finished product, obtaining at the first stage a refined degassed ingot, and at the second stage, an electrode. At the second stage, a pressed mixture of aluminium with a modifying nanopowder and lump aluminium is introduced into the melt. Casting is carried out in a graphite crucible and with cooling to room temperature. Electrode is formed with an outer cylindrical shell, which is made of a magnetic material with an external diameter of 50–100 mm and a wall thickness of 3–5 mm.
EFFECT: invention is used for centrifugal atomisation of electrode material and for the production of granules for use in additive 3D technologies in order to obtain irregularly shaped articles from heat-resistant metallic materials.
