FIELD: metallurgy, namely production of cast alloys on base of titanium aluminides, possibly used in aircraft manufacture and aerospace industry branches for making articles and applying coatings, for example production of parts of gas turbine engines.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preparing powder reaction mixture of initial components containing, mass %: titania, 20.2 - 34.0; niobium oxide, 2.0 - 10.5; aluminum, 30.0 - 43.2; additive selected of calcium peroxide, magnesium or barium, 24.0 - 32.0; placing prepared mixture into refractory mold having on inner surface functional protection layer of refractory non-organic compound selected of alumina, yttrium oxide, aluminum nitride and (or) boron nitride; placing mold in centrifuge; igniting mixture and carrying out synthesis in burning mode at centrifugal acceleration 200 - 1000g for further separation of target cast alloy from synthesis products.
EFFECT: possibility for producing cast alloy on base of titanium aluminides with predetermined chemical content, uniform distribution of components in alloy having fine-grain structure and low content of impurities.
