SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used for evaluating the anastomosis function during surgery of a maxillary or frontal sinus. Intraoperatively, the patient inhales and exhales quietly. If the mucosa rises higher, and then falls below the trepanation hole, the anastomosis function is evaluated as normal. If, when the patient inhales and exhales quietly, the movements of the mucosa are not visualized, the patient should perform forced inspiration and expiration. Extrusion and retraction of the mucosa in this case is regarded as a violation of the anastomosis function, namely, a first-degree block is diagnosed. If, when the patient performs forced inspiration and expiration, there are no fluctuations in the mucosa, but when exhaling with closed nostrils, movements of the mucosa are visualized, anastomosis function is defined as a second-degree block. Absence of fluctuations in the mucosa and while forced breathing, and while inflating, is defined as a third-degree block.

EFFECT: method allows to intraoperatively evaluate the ventilation function of the anastomosis, to make a prompt decision about the tactics of treatment, to eliminate relapses in the postoperative period due to evaluation of mucosa movement while calm and forced breathing.
