FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves riding a cloven-footed animal, represented by a mini-cow - mini-zebu, gradually increasing the degree of the patient's hip joint opening by changing the position. If necessary, the riding sessions are repeated after a break in treatment. The maximum period of daily riding sessions can be 30 days. Preferably, the gradual increase in the degree of hip joint opening is effected by changing the legs position, starting with patient sitting sideways on the back of the animal. Further, legs are placed on the sides of the animal's body. Then the position is changed by raising the legs forward and fixing in such a way that the knees are dilated to the sides and are above the femoral part of the leg. Further, the position is changed by retracting the legs and fixing in such a way that the knees are dilated to the sides and are below the femoral part of the leg. Then, the torso position is additionally changed by tilting forward and fixing the hands on the animal's hump.
EFFECT: method provides treatment for various stages of hip joint disease while increasing the safety of the children treatment process, which allows for additional fixation of desired body position, treatment effectiveness is increased due to the increased body temperature of the animal and the presence of lanolin in its wool, that provides additional massaging and warming action on the hands, legs, pelvic organs muscles and joints during riding, leading to improved blood pressure, appetite, general psycho-emotional state, headache reduction.
