FIELD: environmental protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of environmental protection and is intended for localization of oil pollution and cleaning of surface waters from them. Method of localization of oil pollution includes the treatment of oil pollution on the water surface and creation of a barrier preventing spreading of oil on the surface of water. Barriers are created in the form of mesh frame made of polymer material and placed on perimeter of pollution. Mesh frame is made in the form of a tent by means of joined sections, by means of core wire connected to electrical power unit. At the same time along the length of the core wire at equal from each other distances are installed patrons with candles made of rosin.

EFFECT: invention provides increased reliability of cleaning surface waters from oil pollution, reducing labor costs and ensuring environmental safety.
