SUBSTANCE: emission management system that controls the regeneration, wherein the catalyst device is recovered from contamination in the first control mode, in which the process of increasing temperature and the release process are alternately repeated, and in the second control mode, in which the process of increasing temperature and the process of liberation are alternately repeated. In the first control mode, the temperature increase process is performed by a post-combustion injection from the injector. In the second control mode, the temperature increase process is performed by adding fuel to the exhaust gases from the fuel addition valve, the concentration of HC in the exhaust gas varies with the amplitude and period in the first predetermined range and the period in the second predetermined range. Control mode is switched from first control mode to second control mode when controlling regeneration.
