FIELD: experimental medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to experimental medicine and concerns modeling of pleural empyema. For this, a bleomycin preparation at a dose of 15.0 mg/kg in 1.0 ml of saline is injected into the pleural cavity once per inhalation anesthesia in the nonlinear white rat, and the result is evaluated on the 10th day after the injection.

EFFECT: method provides a stage III empyema of the pleura, which allows preclinical testing of drugs and other methods for treating this stage of the disease.
