FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: in order to simulate such pathology, laboratory animals are inoculated by industrial dust by means of inhalational dusting by coal during 4 hours a day. Coal of gas fat grade with the concentration of 50 mg/m3 with the particle size of up to 5 microns, is used. Dusting is performed in intermittent mode involving alternating six 20-minute long periods of air-dust mixture supply and six 20-minute long pauses with clean air supply. Dusting is carried out 5 times a week with the total duration of the experiment from 3 to 12 weeks.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to create the model of pathologic changes at different silicosis stages corresponding to industrial conditions, which allows for more profound study of pathologic behaviour, as prevention and treatment of the said disease is one of the most important issues for occupational medicine, industrial hygiene and occupational pathology.
