SUBSTANCE: in the first version of the invention, the method for producing phytosterol from sulfate soap includes the extraction of gasoline in the presence of water and demulsifier - low molecular weight alcohol, followed by the separation of the raffinate and extract, washing the extract with a solvent, removing the solvent, followed by the separation of the of the neutral substances from the resulting concentrate, including β-sitosterol, crystallization. From the prototype, the method is characterized in that the extraction is carried out in one step at a ratio of the components of soap: water: alcohol: gasoline, defined as 1:(0.2-0.5):(0.3-0.5):(2-5), the process is carried out in an extractor at a rotational speed of the mixing blade of 200-2000 rpm. An extractor is used, in which the minimum clearance between the inner surface of the walls of the extraction chamber and the free end of at least one of the mixing blades is 0.3-1 mm. The second version of the invention practically repeats the first one, but the extraction is carried out without additional dilution of the soap with water. The optimum speed of the mixing blade is 1000-2000 rpm.

EFFECT: high yield of the neutral substances and phytosterol while minimizing the extraction time and the high-speed single-stage extraction with the hydrocarbon solvent by increasing the intensification of the process in a narrow slot gap between the inner wall surface of the extraction chamber and the free end of the mixing blade and at the choice of the ratio of the extraction mixture components optimum for these conditions.
