FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental medicine and can be used to create a model of blood flow disturbance along the main arteries. Method includes isolation of the main artery and application of ligatures thereto. To this end, a flap with length of 3–4 cm to 7–8 cm, width of 2/3 of the diameter of the isolated artery, is cut from propylene mesh, which is then wrapped around the artery. Further, at equal intervals, four ligatures are placed on top of the flap, which are then tighten and disruption of blood flow from complete cessation to minimal disruption is modelled, depending on the pulling force of the ligatures.

EFFECT: method provides uniform narrowing of the main artery throughout, stability of fixation, enables modelling of different degrees of disturbance of blood flow in main arteries.
