FIELD: civil defense. SUBSTANCE: invention is concerned with means for radio-electronic struggle and protection from high-energy attack, and also with protective masking materials for important objectives, constructions, and personal against observation technics, detecting systems, recognition and capture of target for automatic tracking as well as against high- energy effects from modern arms systems (laser, light, nuclear, etc.). Masking material contains polymer-based layer converting absorbed emission into that with longer wavelength in another electromagnetic emission spectrum region or with shorter wavelength in the same or another spectrum region. This layer is executed in the form of film with luminescent filler. The latter (i) may be made as luminescent composition converting absorbed emission into emission in another spectrum region with longer wavelength; (ii) may be made as luminophor converting absorbed emission into emission in another spectrum region with longer wavelength; (iii) may be made as anti- Stokes luminophor; or (iv) may contain masking pigment. Polymer film may be colored in masking manner. Back surface of film may be coated by high-reflection metal layer. The latter, in turn, may be protected by polymer coating transparent in IR spectrum region. Working surface of film with luminescent filler bears pointed cavities with points directed toward back surface of film.
