CORROSION HYDROGEN PROBE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N17/00

Abstract RU 2645441 C1

FIELD: test equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing control technique, namely to corrosion hydrogen probes. Corrosion hydrogen probe contains a body, a hydrogen sensor, pistons, manometers, strain gauges and a recording device. Hydrogen sensor is made in the form of a tube, which comprises an inserted tubular liner with strain gauges, which are loaded with a tensile load from the pressure of the aggressive hydrogenation medium acting on the associated piston. Wherein the voltage level is regulated by changing the counterpressure of the compensating piston through the compressible organic-silicon fluid. Corrosion hydrogen probe can be used to control the corrosion rate of equipment used in an aggressive hydrogenation medium, in particular to determine the effectiveness and time of aftereffect of corrosion inhibitors, to control hydrogen permeability, which can also be used to determine the protective effectiveness of corrosion inhibitors and the time of their aftereffect, to determine the time till through pitting in the wall of the hydrogen sensor to fix the time till corrosion cracking of the sensor, hydrogen and to ensure safe operation conditions of the probe.

EFFECT: increased sensitivity of the probe and, as a result, higher safety of site operation.
