FIELD: power engineering; electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric power industry, namely to linear spiral clamps intended for fastening, connecting and repairing uninsulated or insulated wires of overhead transmission lines. Linear spiral clamp for fixing, connecting and repairing uninsulated or insulated wires of overhead power lines is made of structural elements in the form of wire spirals, which wind on uninsulated or insulated wires from their outer surface, for example, in several layers. Wire spirals are made of non-magnetic austenitic steel with the following characteristics: non-magnetic steel has a relative magnetic permeability of not more than 10, and its temporary tensile strength is not less than 900 MPa.
EFFECT: performance of linear spiral clamps made of non-magnetic austenitic steel with the above characteristics makes it possible to significantly reduce power losses for magnetization reversal in uninsulated and insulated wires of overhead transmission lines.
