METHOD FOR EVALUATING SEVERITY OF PATIENTS WITH TRAUMATIC LIVER DAMAGE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B5/02 A61B5/205 A61B5/21 G01N33/49

Abstract RU 2645937 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery. To assess the severity of patients with acute blood loss in traumatic liver damage determined are: the heart rate (HR), the blood pressure level, the values of hemoglobin, hematocrit and the number of erythrocytes. Additionally, the level of consciousness and the nature of traumatic injury are assessed, determined is the time past from the moment of injury, and the presence or absence of concomitant diseases. Each attribute is awarded with points. Obtained points are summed up. At a sum of points from 0 to 9, a conclusion is drawn about the patient's mild severity; from 10 to 18 points - about the average severity of the patient; from 19 and more points - about the heavy severity of the patient.

EFFECT: method allows a rapid determination of the timing and volumes of preoperative preparation and surgical tactics in patients with traumatic liver damage, which will ensure rational management of the postoperative period, a reduction in the length of hospitalization, as well as a reduction in the number of complications and deaths in these patients.
