SUBSTANCE: invention refers to agriculture. Method for increasing soil fertility with the use of tobacco dust includes the even distribution of tobacco dust over the soil surface in the dose of 2–8 tons/ha and placement to the soil one month before the expected planting or planting of crops, and for accelerated decomposition, the tobacco dust at the dose of 2–8 tons/ha is treated with the Sternifag biodestructor at the rate of 80 g together with 300 liters of water and ammonium nitrate or urea at the dose of 3 kg, the mixture is thoroughly mixed, the finished solution is evenly applied to the area to be treated and is placed into the soil using discs up to the depth of 5–10 cm.

EFFECT: invention allows to increase the fertility of the soil by means of increasing the content of mobile forms of nutrients and increasing the biological activity, to improve the soil by means of reducing the pathogenic micromycetes, which are contained in it.
