SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of restoring fertility and improving the health of an irreplaceable nutrient substrate in protected soil. The method includes preliminary creation of a background containing basic nutrients. To improve the soil health and provide microelements, organic fertilizers BioHumus — horse compost are used at a dose of 250–750 g/m2 for 5–7 days before sowing tobacco seeds, followed by incorporation into the nutrient mixture and BIO FISH at a dose of 3 ml/m2 before selecting seedlings tobacco for 3–5 days by foliar method with irrigation water at the rate of 1 l/m2. The sowing of seeds is carried out in a nutrient mixture with the content of the main nutrients N35P30K35 that make up 50% of the optimally required dose.

EFFECT: method ensures an increase in the content of basic nutrients in the permanent nutrient mixture of the nursery, increases the nitrification capacity and respiration rate of the substrate, intensifies the activity of cellulose-degrading microorganisms, reduces the density of pathogenic mycoflora and rot damage to plants, increases the yield of high-quality standard seedlings, the height of tobacco plants and leaf area in the field, increasing the materiality of leaves, the yield and quality of tobacco raw materials, and seed productivity while maintaining an environmentally friendly environment in the agrocenosis.
