SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of processes and apparatuses of chemical technology, namely, to dump packings for mass-exchange columns, and can be used as a contact device in chemical-technological processes of rectification, absorption, chemical exchange, etc., carried out in column apparatuses. Elements of the dump packing are made of a metal mesh in the form of a cylinder with a diameter equal to the height with an inner central baffle. Upper and lower edges and the baffle of the cylinder have evenly spaced teeth and the mesh has a corrugation.

EFFECT: increase in the separating capacity of the packing, reduction of the scale transition coefficient while maintaining the through capacity for different columns, liquids and modes.
