FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: monocrystal with a garnet structure for the scintillation sensors is a compound described by the formula ((Gd1-rYr)1-s-xMesCex)3-z(Ga1-y-qAlyTiq)5+zO12. Moreover, q is in the range of 0.00003 to 0.02; r is in the range of 0 to 1; x is in the range of 0.001 to 0.01; y is in the range of 0.2 to 0.6; and z is in the range of -0.1 to 0.1; s is in the range of 0.0001 to 0.1. Herewith Me means at least one element from the series Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba. The monocrystal with a garnet structure is combined with cerium, titanium, and the elements of the second group in a predetermined ratio. This monocrystal is produced by the Czochralski method followed by isothermal annealing.

EFFECT: invention allows to increase the output of the scintillation in the extended temperature range, and to improve the energy resolution of the scintillation detectors during the registration of gamma-quantum.
