SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and plant for building tires. Method includes preliminary arrangement of initial components, the manufacturing of semi-finished products starting from initial components, building of a green tire from semi-finished products, moulding and curing of the green tire, measuring at least two parameters related to produced tire, control of parameters for assigning to each of these a quality index, comparing each parameter to rejection requirement and condition threshold with separation of rejection requirement from acceptable quality level d is in line with acceptable quality level and defines one or more conditionally acceptable levels close to the rejection requirement, rejection of tire being processed when a parameter is assigned with quality index complying with rejection requirement and feedbacking the parameter control result in order to verify the quality index of the parameters. Plant includes an initial components control system, system for controlling the production of semi-finished products from initial components, green tire assembly control system using semi-finished products, green tire curing control system, and a monitoring device programmed to monitor the above parameters.
EFFECT: invention provides an improvement in the quality of finished products and reduction in the amount of reject during the manufacture of tires.
