FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: method for the control of manufacturing tires for vehicle wheels includes: removing the vulcanized tire (VT) from the vulcanization station (20), on which said vulcanized tire (VT) has accumulated heat during the vulcanization process; checking for possible defects or flaws in said vulcanized tire (VT). Said check includes: detecting the first electromagnetic radiation (R1) characterizing the heat release from different parts of said vulcanized tire (VT), as long as said vulcanized tire (VT) releases said accumulated heat; outputting at least one output signal (OS) characterizing said detected first electromagnetic radiation (R1) to enable analysis of said vulcanized tire (VT) and to check for the presence of said possible defects or flaws. A plant for manufacturing tires for vehicle wheels is also described.
EFFECT: improved quality control of tire manufacturing.
