FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to material processing by a laser beam, namely to a laser optical head, which can be used for laser welding, cutting and drilling holes. Optical head comprises outer fixed body (1). Inside body (1) there is internal movable body (3) with internal nozzle (4). When performing the technological mode – laser cutting or drilling holes, lower closed cavity (8) is filled with compressed air. When pneumatically moving with compressed air forming pressure in lower closed cavity (8), inner movable body (3) with inner nozzle (4) moves downward, reducing the spot size of the laser beam to optimum parameters. When performing the technological mode – laser welding higher closed cavity (6) is filled with compressed air. When pneumatically moving with compressed air inner movable body (3) with internal nozzle (4) moves upward, increasing the spot size of the laser beam to the optimum parameters necessary for performing laser welding of metals. Process protective gas is supplied to external stationary nozzle (21).

EFFECT: technical effect: ensuring the accuracy of laser welding, cutting and drilling holes by using a pneumatic system to move inner movable body (3) with internal nozzle (4) by means of compressed air under pressure upwards and downwards and to expand the functionality by performing three modes on one laser head: cutting, welding and drilling holes.
