FIELD: welding works.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device of gas protection of welds during laser welding, it can be used in the welding of titanium, alloys based on titanium and nickel, high-alloy stainless steels in all industries in which these materials are used. The device comprises welding laser head (1) with coaxially positioned nozzle (2) for supplying protective gas to the welding zone and laser gas lens (3) attached to it. Gas lens (3) includes outer bushings (4) and (5) and inner cone (6) formed by guide plates (7 and 8). Inner cone (6) follows the geometry of nozzle (2). Woven mesh (9) is located between outer bushings (4 and 5) and guide plates (7 and 8). Gas lens (3) is provided with holes for the inlet (10) and holes for the outlet (11) of the protective gas to the surface to be welded. Gas lens (3) is put with inner cone (6) on welding nozzle (2) with holes (12) for the supply of helium. Gas lens (3) is fixed to head (1) by a screw-nut connection by means of two plates (14) and is provided with a self-adhesive heat-resistant tape with a low coefficient of friction. The geometric dimensions of gas lens (3) do not exceed the dimensions of welding head (1).

EFFECT: improvement in the quality of weld protection during laser welding with a carbon dioxide laser of longitudinal and closed, in particular, curved welds, including overlapping welds of thin-sheet products.
