FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to integral optics. Method for the adjustment of the waveguide splitter fission coefficient to the lithium niobate substrate includes that, the working optical radiation is applied to the input waveguide of the splitter, one of the output waveguides is selected for tuning, then the section of the waveguide output chosen for tuning is illuminated by a corrective pulse laser radiation with a radiation power density in the pulse of at least 1013 W/cm2, and the result of a given fission coefficient is determined by the maximum contrast of the interference pattern from two rays of the working optical radiation, outgoing from the output splitter waveguides.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing more accurate adjustment of the fission waveguide splitter coefficient.
