FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed mechanism comprises a drum 32 fitted on a shaft 30 driven by a motor and winding up a lifting cable 28. Besides, lifting mechanism incorporates a switch to stop the motor at decreased tension of the lifting cable. The mentioned switch is connected with the drum and has a rod 52 to thrust against the lifting cable to vary its path. The lifting cable retains the mentioned switch in the first position unless cable tension exceeds the threshold value. Note here that the motor runs in normal conditions. When the lifting cable tension drops below the threshold value (for example, in cable rupture), the switch displaces in the second position to switch off the motor. The mentioned switch displaces from the first position into the second position by turning about a swivel pin 54. Note here that the mentioned turn proceeds under the action of the switch gravity when potential power accumulated therein is released. Vertical sliding door incorporates the above described mechanism.
