FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to noise suppression. Silencer contains a body consisting of a cylindrical shell rigidly connected to end round plates having, respectively, inlet and outlet branch pipes, in the body, perpendicular to the aerodynamic flow direction, there are at least three jet chambers formed by round discs with holes, wherein the holes in the discs are alternately displaced relative to the axis of the body in such a way, that the holes in two adjacent discs do not coincide, while three connected in series jet chambers are connected to the inlet branch pipe of the body, as well as to a combined chamber and the outlet branch pipe, and the combined chamber is formed by a circular perforated disc and an end round plate, which are interconnected by means of a central bushing, the inner surface of which is lined with a sound-absorbing material and is coaxial with the cylindrical shell, wherein one of discs facing the inlet branch pipe is lined with a sound-absorbing round element, while the sound-absorbing round elements are also installed on discs with holes forming the jet chambers.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of noise suppression.
